Lowell Broadband Project

We the people of Lowell, Michigan, recognizing the importance of broadband internet for the education of our children, success of our businesses, and growth of our community agree to do what is necessary to provide high-speed internet access to our community, as well as the other communities near us.

We realize that the large telecommunications industries are more interested in growing their business where there are more people per square mile; being a rural community we are less profitable and our needs have been placed on the ‘back burner’ for these entities. As the big telecom companies roll out internet access in metropolitan areas with speeds of 50Mbps-100Mbps, many people in Lowell cannot even get 1Mbps service.

We pledge to support local companies that seek to provide us with high-speed internet as a priority becuase they, like use, live and work in the Lowell area.
